Conceptual Design Workshop

A focused, intensive 3-hour workshop designed for landscape lighting professionals, this session introduces the fundamentals of creating clear, visually compelling conceptual images that communicate design intent. Participants will explore how to select and capture the most effective base photographs, learning how strong imagery directly impacts the clarity and success of a lighting concept. This hands-on, design-driven workshop requires students to bring their own photo(s) for editing, though images can also be provided on the day of the session.

Through guided exercises, attendees will actively develop and refine their concepts, translating vision into graphics that clearly communicate ideas to clients, installers, and collaborators. The session includes collaborative group critique, dedicated lab time, and ongoing discussion with open Q&A throughout, creating an engaging environment that supports both technical skill-building and design thinking.
